"Everything that you are doing to create counterfeit peace is outside of what God has called you to do." So many times I look around the world and people are living for money over happiness. Profit over peace. This is something I didn't realize I was actually living. Why do we choose money over happiness. Why do we choose money over our calling? Why are we choosing pennies over peace? It makes no sense. We can't take money with us in the end so why am I giving it so much value and so much control over how I live my life right now? Do I need money to pursue my dreams and Gods vision? Absolutely. Right?...but not necessarily. God knows what you need and he will make things happen - and allow things to work out despite your lack of resources. Despite your lack of know how. It's not about how much I know its about what God knows and the resources he has available to him. So I ask myself this - are you basing your ability to accomplish on the resources you have available to you or the resources God has available to him? To be honest God will move and work if you are willing to let him. God can't or rather won't make things work in our life if we do not have peace in him. Our peace in God gives us the ability to trust him and have faith and hope. Why would God fulfil a vision if you have no faith in his vision or won't give him the Glory in the end? When you are willing to let God have the glory he will move in ways you could have never imagined. So many times we allow ourselves to believe that because God takes care of us in the place that we are it means we are where he wants us to be. But God takes care of you because he loves you and no father wants to see their child suffer. We become comfortable in that provision of God. Our comfort zone gives us a false sense of peace. But peace isn't being comfortable. Peace is described as an overwhelming sense of calm - "It is the feeling you have while sitting under a starry sky, listening to the crickets." But true peace is more than a feeling, peace is a choice, it's a gift that is given by God. Any feeling of peace will leave you searching for a more fulfilling version of peace or a longer lasting version - a version that is only possible through the one who is peace.

Are you trading Gods purpose for a moment of counterfeit peace?

Allow your hope in him to give you lasting peace. Grant God access through surrender so that your worries may turn into peace. Step into faith so that you may have hope, purpose and peace not just today but forever.
