I don’t know about you but, sometimes my habits permit me to settle. I allow my habits to have control to the point where I am no longer in control.

Don’t get me wrong, habits are good. They keep me in line, allow me to feel in control.

I feel at ease sinking in to old habits. I feel comforted by perpetual actions and then I inadvertently settle for less. Unaware of my complacency.

But when I begin to live less out of habit and more out of intent I become more aware of who I am.

Intentionality allows us to control our actions and become that person we need to be. Intentionality gives us the momentum we need to continually reach our goals. We are aware of what we are doing, and why we are doing it. That intent helps us to focus on the future and procure each action that needs to be taken to reach our fullest potential.

Now, that's not to say all habits are bad. Habits allow us to be consistent. Its about creating good habits that don't hinder your growth. It takes time to build good habits - Habits that allow you to be disciplined. Habits formed by intentionality.
